Take a closer look at our projects

      1. Building partners: We actively involve our beneficiary institutions in the collection process so that they can acquire to experience approach new doners and make the own collections in the future. In this way, we help the institutions become self-sufficient and capture their own resources.

      2. Nutritional education: We teach the staff of beneficiary institutions about: food wastage and the importance of utilizing all edible parts of food; hygiene and food handling; temperature control, adequate storage and techniques for preserving and freezing food. Classes are offered once a month to all institutions at the University of São Paulo´s Faculty of Public Health as well as complementary lessons in the kitchens of each institution.

      3. Nutritional evaluation: We measure the height, weight and circumferance of children attending beneficiary institutions to evaluate their nutrition. When we identify any deviations from normal standards we try to guide the institutions and those responsible for the children on how they should be treated. As well as evaluating nutriation we provide nutritional education through games, cooking classes and presentations to incentivise changes in the eating habits of the population.
